Gamavisión 1 (formerly known as Gama TV y Gama ) is an Ecuadorian open television channel that was launched on April 18, 1977. Most of its share package was seized in 2008.
Despite not receiving a state budget, it belongs to Public Media 95% EP and 5% Gamavisión Workers Trust. It operates in the cities of Quito and Guayaquil , its signal is available in Ecuador on Channel 2 in Quito , Channel 8 in Guayaquil and Channel 9 in Cuenca .
